With 4 in 10 adults suffering from anxiety and depression between March 2020-January 2021 – up from just 1 in 10 pre-pandemic – employers are searching for ways to help their employees deal with the mental health challenges.
The DFW Business Group on Health partnered with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute in its Lone Star Depression Challenge.
The goal of the challenge is to reduce the stigma and incidence of depression in the workplace by increasing access, screening for depression, and leaning in to resources like EAPs and Employer Resource Groups.
Marianne Fazen, President and CEO of the TX Business Group on Healthcare, and Executive Director of the DFW Business Group on Health, shares more about this awesome initiative.
