Dr. Connie Guille is working to ensure all women have the mental health care that they deserve.
She’s a Professor and Director of Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health Division at the Medical University of South Carolina, and has launched multiple innovative programs to help address the perinatal behavioral health.
The cost of untreated postpartum depression is an astonishing $32,000 per mom-baby. Yet, through better detection, easier and more expeditious access to providers, those costs can be drastically lowered, and those moms and babies experience much better outcomes.
