According to Dr. David Donohue, there are  six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine:

Nutrition, exercise,  sleep, a healthy relationship with stress, healthy relationships with people and avoiding toxic substances.

Dr. Donohue is the Chief Medical Officer at Progressive Health of Delaware, and Poplar Care.

He says lifestyle medicine is very evidence-based, and when optimized, those six pillars can lead to dramatically better health outcomes, deprescribing medication for patients, and longer lives.

Be sure to watch the full interview to hear how lifestyle can transform lives, helping with chronic conditions, and everything from knee pain to dementia.
